Reception

The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art

Location: South Shore Rd, Gateshead NE8 3BA

Join us at Riverside, part of the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, for an evening of celebration as we welcome delegates for the start of this year’s Annual School in Newcastle.

The Baltic enjoys an enviable position overlooking the River Tyne, and offers the perfect venue for this year’s school theme as a stellar example of adaptive reuse in its own right, having been converted some 25 years ago.

Annual Day
School

The Common Room, Neville Hall

Location: Neville St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5DH

This year’s Annual Day School will take place in the stunning Grade II* listed Wood Memorial Hall at The Common Room. Now a charity, archive and heritage venue, it was built between 1869-72 on behalf of the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers.

Ideally located just a short 3 minute walk from Newcastle train station, it serves as a fitting setting for exploring this year’s theme of Adaptive Reuse.

Delegates will also get to visit the Exhibitors Hub during the day, with adequate time for networking and opportunities for even more CPD as part of the programme.

Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.
